Every Kvell piece is made to be worn, loved and enjoyed. The care and longevity of your jewellery will depend on its material, frequency of wear, and individual body chemistry.
Please find the care and after-sales information for each material below.
Gold-Plated Brass
Our gold-plated brass jewellery is finished with a micro gold plating. With regular daily wear, the plating may naturally fade over time, typically within 6–9 months. With proper care and less frequent wear, it may last considerably longer. The rate of wear can also vary depending on individual body chemistry.
To care for your piece:
* Keep away from water, showering and swimming.
* Avoid excessive sweat and remove jewellery before exercising.
* Apply perfume, lotion and other products before putting on your jewellery.
* Remove jewellery before sleeping.
* Gently wipe your piece after wearing and store it in its pouch or box when not in use.
Repolishing
We offer a repolishing service within 6 months of the original purchase date, subject to a repolishing charge.
Repolishing is subject to the design, condition and eligibility of the piece. Delicate, damaged, discontinued or unavailable designs may not be eligible for repolishing.
For eligible pieces, please contact us with your order or purchase details and we will let you know what options are available.
⸻
Panchadhatu
Our Panchadhatu jewellery comes with a lifetime colour guarantee.
The guarantee covers natural colour-related changes to the Panchadhatu finish under normal use. It does not cover physical damage, scratches, breakage, improper care, chemical exposure, alterations or damage caused by misuse.
To care for your piece:
* Keep away from harsh chemicals, perfumes and cleaning products.
* Store separately in its pouch or box when not in use.
If you experience a colour-related concern with your Panchadhatu piece, please contact us with your purchase details and photographs so our team can assess it and guide you through the next steps.
⸻
Stainless Steel
Our stainless steel jewellery is not replated or repolished by Kvell.
Stainless steel is generally more resistant to everyday wear than plated jewellery, but its appearance can still be affected by scratches, chemicals, moisture and prolonged exposure to sweat or other substances.
To care for your piece:
* Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals and cleaning products.
* Remove jewellery before swimming, showering or exercising when possible.
* Keep away from perfumes and lotions.
* Wipe gently after wearing.
* Store separately in its pouch or box when not in use.
Please note that stainless steel jewellery is not covered under our gold-plated brass repolishing service.

A Note on Jewellery Wear
Jewellery naturally changes with use. Minor scratches, surface changes and signs of wear are a normal part of owning and wearing jewellery and are not considered manufacturing defects.
Proper care can significantly extend the life and appearance of your Kvell pieces.
